Please Join Us for a
Tour of Works on Paper in the Collection of the
National Academy of Sciences

Friday, November 8, 11:30 am

Please join us on Friday November 8 for a curator led tour at the National Academy of Sciences. Alana Quinn, Senior Program Associate, Cultural Programs, will discuss works on paper in the NAS collection.

Best known for the Albert Einstein Memorial Statue by Robert Berks on its grounds, the NAS has a rich art collection composed of roughly 600 works of art exploring relationships among art, science, and culture. On your visit, you will see works by Tim Rollins + K.O.S. (Kids of Survival), Rebecca Kamen, Cheryl Goldsleger, Adrien Segal, Joe Feddersen, Alfredo Arreguin, and Tim Makepeace, among others. Registration is limited to 15 WPC members and their guests. Members may register for up to two people. Please be sure to RSVP early as this program will reach capacity quickly. Note that a government-issued photo ID (such as a passport or driver’s license) will be required to enter the building.

Cheryl Edwards and Cianne Fragione have had work acquired by the DC Art Bank.

Cianne Fragione’s exhibition Isole: A Voyage Among My Dreams is on view at St. Mary’s College Museum of Art, Moraga CA until June 22, 2025. More informatin about the exhibition is available here.

Helen Frederick and Chris Mona’s collaborative and solo projects are on view at the Rice Gallery, McDaniel College, Westminster MD. Until December 13.

Galerie Myrtis (Baltimore) is presenting Susan Goldman’s new print series, Squaring the Flower VI. Click here for more information.

Mira Hecht’s exhition at the American University Museum, Katzen Arts Center, in the center thereof rose a fountain, runs through December 8. Artist’s talk November 2, 2:00 pm.

June Linowitz’s show Elemental is at the Fred Schneider Gallery September until October 27.

Susan Due Pearcy will open her Sugarloaf Studio to the public for the Countryside Artisans Holiday Tour, December 6, 7 and 8th from 10:00am to 5:00pm each day.  Her studio is located at 21900 Beallsville Road, Barnesville, MD  20838. More information here.

Charles Ritchie, Journals & Drawings will be on view at BravinLee Programs, New York, until November 2, 2024.

Soledad Salame was featured in the National Gallery of Art’s 9 Latinx Artists to Know.

Gail Shaw-Clemons’ work is included in the exhibition Sculpture Now at McLean Project for the Arts. Until October 26.

Karen Seibert will be curating an exhibition of works on paper by Werner Drewes at the Triangle Art Studios in Bethesda, MD, October 29 – November 30. More information can be found here.

Deborah Smith has works from her collection featured in the Strathmore exhibition, Art Flow(s): Perspectives from the African Diaspora. The exhibition runs until November 7. 

Gary Zuercher’s black and white photographs of the bridges of Paris at night, which were featured in his book The Glow of Paris, will be on display from November 29 through January 21, 2025 at the Parc de Choisy in Paris. This is a continuation of his debut exhibition of the photos at Paris City Hall in October and November last year.

Kreeger Museum

October 26 2024 – February 1, 2025

The Washington Print Club is pleased to announce its upcoming 60th anniversary exhibition, The DMV Collects the DMV.  Curated by Laura Roulet, the exhibition is a collaboration with the Kreeger Museum, an institution with a strong commitment to exhibiting work by artists in the greater DC area.  Drawn from the collections of WPC members, the exhibition will include works on paper by an array of artists, showcasing the talent within the greater Washington, DC area.
