The Washington Print Club
Presents Grant to the
Baltimore School of the Arts
The Washington Print Club recently granted a $10,000 donation to the Baltimore School of the Arts. The grant will be used to upgrade the printmaking studio, including the purchase of new equipment.
The gift was made possible through a bequest to the WPC from Linda Lee Johnson, a multifaceted artist known for her work in acting, jewelry making, and art. Linda’s gift to the WPC enabled the club to share her generosity with a community-based, arts-focused organization.
In addition to the grant to upgrade the BSA printmaking studio, the WPC is funding workshops at the Pyramid Atlantic for two BSA students.
WPC Treasurer Brian Weinstein presented the check and remarked that his visit to the Baltimore School for the Arts was “the best day of his life,” reflecting the deep impact of this collaboration.
