Beverly Ress
Saturday, May 20, 11:00 am

In-Person and Members Only

Please join us for a May 20, 11:00 am, visit with artist Beverly (Bev) Ress at her studio in Silver Spring, Maryland.

Bev will speak about the evolution of her current drawing work, and its relationship to the Covid shutdown. She’ll address the necessity of trying new things, allowing yourself to make bad work and pushing through it, and the fear of letting go of previous success.

Bev’s drawings have been shown in solo exhibitions throughout the East Coast. Her work has been included in national drawing shows at the Weatherspoon Art Museum in Greensboro, North Carolina, the Arkansas Arts Center in Little Rock, and at various venues in Brooklyn, Belgium, Germany, New York, DC, Maryland, and Virginia.

Bev has received five Individual Artist Awards from the Maryland State Arts Council, a Pollock-Krasner Grant and a United States Artists project grant.

Attendance is limited to 20.
