Reflecting Back to the Future

Please join the Washington Print Club for an exclusive in-person tour of Pyramid Atlantic’s 40th anniversary exhibition led by Pyramid Atlantic founder and curator Helen Frederick.

In-Person, Members-Only Program Thursday, November 18, 11:00am
Tour of the National Gallery of Art Exhibition
Print Culture and the Artists in Genoa
with Yuri Long, Special Collections Librarian

Please join us on Thursday, November 18, 11:00am, for a tour of the current exhibition located in the National Gallery of Art Study Center (located on the ground floor of the East Building.) Attendance is limited to 15 people. You may register up to two people by using the button below or by clicking here. RSVP by November 11.

The exhibition features a selection of rare books and works on paper produced in the Republic of Genoa from the end of the sixteenth century to the middle of the eighteenth century. Drawn from the collections and library of the National Gallery, these works range from images of the grand architecture of Genoa’s palaces and mansions to elaborately illustrated editions of Torquato Tasso’s epic poem Gerusalemme liberata, genealogical works about Genoa’s leading families, and biographies of Genoese artists alongside some of their drawings and etchings. Sheila Crider  will have have an exhibition of her work entitled “Intersectional Painting” in the Atrium Gallery at McLean Project for the Arts, December 2, 2021 – February 19, 2022.

Delna Dastur and Carol Ann Reed currently have work that was juried into McLean Project for the Arts exhibition (Not) Strictly Painting.

Delna Dastur also has work in the invitational show at the Friendship Heights Community Center. The exhibition is on view until November 6. Delna was also recently awarded the Juror’s Choice Award for her painting currently on view at the Charles Taylor Visual Art Center, Hampton, Virginia.

Caitlin Teal Price will have an exhibition of her work at the Candela Gallery in Richmond, VA, November 5 – December 22.

Jun Lee, Gail Shaw-Clemons, and Caitlin Teal Price have work in the exhibition, DC Art Now 2021, the DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities’ annual exhibition of selected work by finalists for the Art Bank Program grant. Click here to view the virtual gallery.
