The Washington Print Club is seeking new board members. We hope that members who meet the criteria below will consider applying, or you may nominate another Washington Print Club member.
Board members assist with a variety of projects and assume responsibilities in areas that interest them, so there is plenty of opportunity to work on projects that excite you. In general, board members are organized, work well on their own or with others, and have a familiarity with, and/or contacts within, the print world.
Given the nature of today’s art world and our need to expand our online presence, we are seeking new board members who are comfortable with using and contributing to social media, online newsletter drafting, and other internet-based tasks.
Board members become part of a friendly and diverse group of fellow print, drawing, and photography enthusiasts. Terms are two years. The formal election will take place during the annual member appreciation and business meeting scheduled for June 4 at Pyramid Atlantic in Hyattsville.
Board meetings are held roughly every six to eight weeks with a hiatus during summer months. They occur on weekday evenings and last about two hours. For the foreseeable future, board meetings transpire virtually.
Those interested in applying should contact membership chair Nancy Hirshbein. The deadline is Friday, April 22. You are welcome to attend a board meeting before making a final decision if you wish.
Thank you for considering this invitation to become a candidate for the board of directors of your Washington Print Club. We look forward to hearing from you.
Sincerely,
Christopher With, president
on behalf of The Washington Print Club board of directors
